Block 1
Lasse Nipkow, one of the leading experts in the field of 3D audio, is hosting a comprehensive seminar at the Studio 2 / ORF RadioKulturhaus in Wien in Vienna on 29 and 30 April 2025.
The aim of the event is to be able to show consumers impressive content in 3D audio. The seminar is therefore not only aimed at sound professionals, recording studios and educational institutions, but also explicitly at planners and representatives of concert halls, museums, hotels and other service industries.
During the seminar, great emphasis is placed on musically motivated 3D audio: The creative creation process and the playback side will be given specialised tools that enable the best possible experiences. The seminar bridges the gap between the technical and creative aspects of 3D audio and brings theory and practice together.
Seminar outline
PSYCHOACUSTIC BASICS - Listeners should be emotionally moved. This is where psychoacoustics can help: How does a person perceive audio in the first place? With this knowledge, you can work towards a perfect immersive result!
TECHNOLOGY AND PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION - Producing high-quality 3D audio and presenting it in a captivating way requires the best tools available. The seminar provides both a clear overview and in-depth insights!
3D EXPERIENCE - Well-made 3D audio can be a captivating experience and leave lasting impressions. There will be no shortage of this during the seminar thanks to the perfect acoustic environment and great sound examples!
Please note: The seminar will be held in German.
Block 3
Parallel to the seminar programme, there will be an exhibition of partner companies. During the coffee breaks and the networking evening, product highlights will be presented and there will be ample opportunity for specialist discussions and networking.

Sound system and xxhibitors
Sound system for the seminar
- In the large Studio 2 of the ORF RadioKulturhaus (the historic broadcast centre), seminar participants will hear an innovative 3D audio sound reinforcement system from Pan Acoustics, which is based on the ‘Pan Immerse 4D Audio’ server and uses loudspeaker models with PoE++ and Beam Steering technology. This system offers participants an outstanding listening experience and is capable of processing both object-based audio and channel-based 3D audio. It can also be flexibly applied to existing speaker setups to realise multi-channel systems in arrangements such as 7.1 or 13.1.6. Technology from Neumann and Sennheiser will also be used.
Exhibitors and their highlights
- Brandenbug Labs: Immersive audio playback via headphones
- New Audio Technologies: SAD-Processor
- Pan Acoustics: Pan Immerse 4D Audio, PoE++ Beam-Steering speakers
- Pinguin Ing. Büro: Roomenizer impulse response plug-in for 3D audio
- Sennheiser / Neumann: KH150 with MT48, Anubis, HAPI, RIME and Ovation
- VR-Eventfilm: 360°3D video production with 3D audio
