32 Submissions from 12 Countries
The call for the eighth 3D competition in Ambisonics for students has ended. Now the work of the jurors begins to evaluate the submissions. Once again, many students have taken part with some quite extraordinary productions. There were 32 submissions in total, produced by students from 12 countries. It is particularly pleasing that combined teams from several countries were also found. The nominees will be announced towards the end of September.
Traditionally, the award ceremony takes place on November 8 in Graz and is broadcast live on the Internet. We also organize so-called public viewing hubs, i.e. meetings where you can watch the finals in original quality in the company of other 3D audio enthusiasts. Three locations in Hamburg, Leipzig and Düsseldorf have already been found.

The Competition is a cooperation of the Institut für Elektronische Musik und Akustik der Kunstuniversität Graz (IEM) and Verband Deutscher Tonmeister (VDT), Sounding Future, and this year again with the ORF musikprotokoll.
The contribution format is 5th order Ambisonics as there are many free production tools available and no licence fees have to be paid. Contributing to the Competition is an important step for the students into the professional world of pro audio. At the same time there are attractive prizes for the winners waiting.
