Web analysis service Matomo
Our website uses Matomo, an open source software for statistical analysis of user access. It is not possible to infer a specific person because your IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and before it is saved. We host Matomo ourselves. An external service provider is not involved.
Matomo is used for the purpose of improving the quality of our website and its content. This tells us how the website is being used and enables us to continuously optimize our offer.
You can contradict to the storage and evaluation of this data by Matomo at any time. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is permanently stored in your browser, which causes Matomo not to collect any data for storage and analysis. However, if you intentionally or unintentionally delete this cookie, the contradiction to data storage and analysis will also be cancelled. Cookies are only used to recognize your contradiction each time a page is accessed.
Alternatively, most modern browsers have a "Do Not Track" option that can be used to instruct websites not to track your activity. Matomo respects this option.

You are required to accept our privacy policy to register. After you have registered, we collect the data in the content management system which feeds our event website with content. We use to organise the event. Among other things, we
- print some of the data (name, institution) in the program or display it online
- may share some of the data (name, contribution title, e-mail address, institution, possibly also your telephone number) with other contributors for to coordinate content
- may use your contact details (name, e-mail address) for feedback to your contribution and to send you material relevant to the event (program, transcript)
- may share some of the data (name, institution) with the session hosts
- may share your data with collaborating institutions to the extent provided to render the service.

The database of the Contribution Website stores and processes user information in compliance with the applicable provisions of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG). Personal data is only collected to enable event planning.

In this data protection declaration of the Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH, we inform you about the processing of personal data in connection with a press accreditation. This declaration supplements the general data protection declaration on our website, which you can find at https://tonmeistertagung.com/en/Data Privacy Statement/. In special cases, this declaration is supplemented by separate data protection notices.
1. Responsible and data protection officer
Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH is the organizer of the Tonmeistertagung – and responsible for processing personal data in connection with press accreditation within the meaning of DS -GVO and service provider. If you have any questions about data protection, please contact the above address.
2. Categories and sources of personal data
When registering for press accreditation, the following data is requested: salutation, academic title (optional), first and last name, medium / publisher / editorial office, zip code, city, country, language, email address, telephone number (optional) and in which Media category you are to be accredited. At the end of the registration process, a legitimation document, such as work that has already been published, and a copy of your press ID must be uploaded. You can black out excess information such as your photo and date of birth on the press card. In addition, information on your interest in participating in event-specific segments and events can be requested. If the time and place of participation can be selected, a corresponding preference such as fixed days or times will be collected. We also process your participation data (day, times and event segment / event, if applicable).
3. Processing purposes and legal bases
3.1. Accreditation and event participation and organization
The Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH processes your personal data in accordance with Section 2 to carry out the accreditation procedure, to check your legitimacy and, if you have been successfully accredited, for your participation in the event and its organization and implementation, including the Granting of access / participation authorizations (legal basis: Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR (our legitimate interest in public and press work as well as checking the legitimacy and the organization and implementation of the event)).
3.2. Press and public relations
Furthermore, we use your personal data in accordance with Section 2 for press and public relations work in order to provide you with information about our company, the Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH, about the events, accompanying and follow-up events organized by carried out by us or in which we are involved. Follow-up events are also other trade fairs organized or carried out by the Association of German Tonmeister (VDT) in Germany and abroad. For these purposes, we also forward your data to our association (VDT). The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in providing optimal support for our press representatives (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR). We also use the data you provide in accordance with Section 2 for statistical purposes. 4. Categories of recipients of the data
In addition to transferring data to the recipients named in Section 3 for the purposes listed there, we use the personal data to carry out certain processing activities in connection with the ticket purchase and the operation of the ticketing platform of our external service companies (in particular online ticket shop, (digital) communication measures Process data on our behalf (so-called "contract processors").
5. Storage period
Stored personal data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the respective purpose of their processing. The legitimation documents will be deleted after a positive verification of the legitimation has been carried out. Insofar as the processing takes place on the basis of consent or on the basis of a legitimate interest of the Bildungswerk des VDT, the data in question will no longer be processed for the associated purpose after receipt of the revocation of the consent or the objection and, if necessary, deleted.

Insofar as the processing is based on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data at any time for reasons that arise from your particular situation. If you have given us your consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. If you are of the opinion that the data processing violates data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR in conjunction with Section 19 of the Federal Data Protection Act).
